New Law and Economics scholarships (EMLE), It is a scholarship for a Masters in Law and Economics in Europe with the possibility of choosing to study at least two out of nine universities.

The Masters in Law and Economics in Europe (EMLE)

The European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE) aims to train lawyers and economists equipped with an interdisciplinary base prepared to face the challenges of business and European and international law. It is possible to choose one of three specialization options: Economic Analysis of Markets, Corporations and Regulators, Economic Analysis of Public and International Law and Economic Analysis of Innovation and Intellectual Property.

The Master’s Degree in Law and Economics in Europe is the result of a partnership between eight universities:

  1. Aix Marseille university
  2. Pompeu Fabra University
  3. University of Ghent (Belgium)
  4. University of Haifa (Israel)
  5. University of Hamburg (Germany)
  6. University of Mumbai (India);
  7. University of Rome LUMSA (Italy)
  8. Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands)

All students must study at least two universities, in accordance with the program’s general mobility rules. In the first semester, the courses are the same in all areas and universities. Specialization begins in the second semester with two specialized subjects and three common subjects and partner universities. The third part of the course consists of two subjects chosen by the student at one of the partner universities.

Masters in Law and Economics Scholarship in Europe

The Masters in Law and Economics in Europe is part of the Erasmus+ program, which includes different courses and will benefit students interested in the scholarship for Masters in Law and Economics. Scholars receive a generous allowance to cover tuition, travel costs and a monthly subsistence allowance for the duration of the course. In addition, health insurance valid throughout the master’s degree is also included in the scholarship for a master’s degree in law and economics.

Scholarship Application for Masters in Law and Economics

To apply for the Erasmus Masters in Law and Economics scholarship in Europe, you must have a degree in one of the two areas. Also eligible to apply are graduates in business, social science or another field who have a considerable number of credits in law and economics. Candidates also need to prove that they have knowledge of English the official language of the course.

Selection is based on four criteria:

  1. quality of university career (43%)
  2. quality of motivation letter (26%)
  3. affinity for previous studies (26%)
  4. and letters of recommendation (15%)

To apply, you must complete the online form and send by January 12, 2023 certified and officially translated copies of the following documents:

  • Graduation diploma and academic record
  • CV
  • Motivation letter
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Proof of address.

The English certificate will only be requested at a later time. However, anyone who does not have a TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English cannot participate in the program.
