To apply for a CSC scholarship at Hohai University in China, you’ll need the following:

Form to Apply for a Scholarship from the Chinese Government (filled in Chinese or English).
Copy of Form for Foreigners to Get a Physical (filled in Chinese or English). Note: Applicants should follow the Foreigner Physical Examination Form’s instructions to the letter. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” isn’t valid if it’s missing, doesn’t have a photo of him or a rider seal, and wasn’t signed or stamped by a doctor or hospital. The report of the inspection is good for 6 months. When you sign up, please bring the original.

Notarized certificate of a bachelor’s degree or higher (texts in languages other than Chinese and English must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English). New graduates must turn in before they graduate. (Certificate).

Recommendation letter:

Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors (Chinese or English).

Plan for studying or doing research in China

(must had written in Chinese or English and at least 800 words long); Copy of research results. Abstracts or catalogs of papers that had published, awards, etc.

Copy of the language test (Chinese or English).

Students who want to teach Chinese must have at least an HSK level 4 (certificate is valid for 2 years). Students who want to teach English as a second language must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a TOEFL A transcript with a score of 80 or more, or some other proof of their English level.

A copy of a passport that is valid.

Applicants from mainland China must also send a copy of the visa page or residence permit page that is currently valid.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • People who are not Chinese and are in good physical and mental health.
  • People who want to get a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • People who want to get a Ph.D. must already have a Master’s degree and be younger than 40.
  • Good grades and great skills in scientific research.
  • People who haven’t won any other scholarships.
  • Needs at least a level 4 on the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) (Valid for 2 years).

Every year, the last day to apply for a Hohai University Chinese Government Scholarship 2023-24 for International Students is April 30.
