Copy of Form for Foreigners to Get a Physical (filled in Chinese or English). Note: Applicants should follow the Foreigner Physical Examination Form’s instructions to the letter. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” isn’t valid if it’s missing, doesn’t have a photo of him or a rider seal, and wasn’t signed or stamped by a doctor or hospital. Students who want to teach Chinese must have at least an HSK level 4 (certificate is valid for 2 years). Students who want to teach English as a second language must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a TOEFL A transcript with a score of 80 or more, or some other proof of their English level.

A copy of a passport that is valid.

Applicants from mainland China must also send a copy of the visa page or residence permit page that is currently valid.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • People who are not Chinese and are in good physical and mental health.
  • People who want to get a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
  • People who want to get a Ph.D. must already have a Master’s degree and be younger than 40.
  • Good grades and great skills in scientific research.
  • People who haven’t won any other scholarships.
  • Needs at least a level 4 on the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) (Valid for 2 years).
